Dispelling The Myth That You Have No Power To Affect Positive Change

We just finished two great workshops in January. One open to educators and counselors as well as a professional development workshop in a New Haven magnet school. An emerging question that grew out of both events was how we affect positive change in our workplace. Particularly while facing the obstacles from the difficult fates of family systems including the children we work with as well as our own family. These barriers may be as simple as getting through day-to-day activities where we feel as if we have exhausted all the tools in our toolbox. Listing to the needs of teachers and counselors I have revamped my March workshop to focus on these concerns and questions. I am now in a beautiful position and excited to offer the following workshop:

Teaching from Presence:

Authenticity, Connection, Creativity and Joy in Education

9am - 4pm Saturday March 2, 2019
379 Whalley Ave, New Haven CT (Edge of the Woods, rear building)
$80 Early Registration; $100 Regular Registration

As educators, our work takes place inside a network of complex systems: interpersonal and family systems, school and administrative pressures, external assessments, social inequality and injustice … and, someplace in that web, the challenges of our own personal lives.

The swirling of these pressures can lead us to believe that we have no power to affect positive change. But this is a false and demoralizing belief - because your greatest impact emerges from within - from your PRESENCE.

Practicing presence does not make the challenges magically disappear. But as you enter presence, you turn on the light of awareness and receive the gifts of insight and wisdom. This allows you to operate from a place of deep knowing as you respond to what arises.

We are calling educators who wish to practice staying centered in their hearts as they stand inside the complexities of their work environments. We are calling educators who wish to learn how to  support deep knowing - knowing that can illuminate the hidden dynamics behind their challenges. We are calling educators who are ready to embody authenticity, connection and joy - to genuinely transform their environments from within.  We are calling on educators ready to play, be creative and co-collaborate with powerful new tools that they can bring immediately into their work.

In this workshop you will:

❖     Practice presence and develop your capacity for deep knowing.

❖      Come away with a toolkit of playful, engaging  practices for your school/organization that generate surprising and actionable insights towards positive change.

❖      Connect with a community of like-hearted people who are called to transform their schools/organizations into places of authenticity and connection, creativity and joy.

Register today to receive a free Supporting Systems Creative Brief that you could use in with children.
